Thomas R. Langan was born in the Bronx in 1946 and has
been practicing law in Peekskill, New York since 1980.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University
of Notre Dame, earned an MBA from Pace University in
1972 and graduated from Fordham University Law School
in 1978. He was admitted to the New York bar the following
year, to the US Tax Court, and the US District Courts
in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in
1984 and the United State Supreme Court in 1986. In
1981, he became a Certified Public Accountant in New
York. A volunteer firefighter since 1974, he served
on the Board of Fire Commissioners in the Pleasantville
Fire District from 1986 to 2005 and was its Chairman
from 1987 to 2005. He is a member of the Peekskill,
Westchester County, New York State and American Bar
Associations, the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified
Public Accountants.
